Adopt Nala

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · Female · Young · 2 years

Nala is a staffie cross Bullmastiff and is 2 years old This is the lovely Nala who has found herself looking for a home through no fault of her own. Nala is a staffie cross Bullmastiff and is 2 years old. She is soon to find herself homeless as her owner is moving into council accomodation bedsit and is not allowed to take Nala with him. He has exhausted just about all avenues into looking for a home where he can take her. Unfortuantely financial constrates are an issue. Nala is chipped and wormed but not up todate with her vaccinations (so these would need to be restarted) Nala isnt cat friendly and we dont know if she can live with another dog as she hasnt previoulsy but she is fine with them when out on a walk but she does bark, but wants to play. She has been fine with visiting dogs previosuly. Nala has been around children but we would suggest dog savvy children over 7 years old. She is house trained, has some basic training and has a good recall but we would suggest you dont let her off unless in a dog field or until she is used to you. Nala can be left but not for very long as she cries if left for too long. Can you offer this pretty girl a home. If so please contact us. IMPORTANT INFORMATION! About Nala

What life with Nala looks like

Nala is a medium-sized young adult staffordshire bull terrier dog waiting at Beds for Bullies in Barnham.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Beds for Bullies handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Beds for Bullies will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Beds for Bullies early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
