Adopt Nami

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 9 years

Nami is a 2-year old cross breed who is full of love to give, she has a calm, affectionate nature and is happiest when spending time with her people. She is outgoing yet gentle, enjoying attention and cuddles without being overly demanding. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is great with children, and is friendly with everyone she meets. Currently recovering from a hip operation, she is being cared for in a foster home where she is making good progress. An absolute family dog, she is incredibly people-oriented, loves being petted, and has a sweet, reliable temperament that makes her a joy to be around. With her calm nature and loving personality, she would make a fantastic addition to a family looking for a loyal and affectionate companion. Nami - Voller Liebe

About Nami

What life with Nami looks like

Nami is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at A.I.R.S. Foundation in Cyprus.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇨🇾Adopting from Cyprus

Cypriot rescues focus heavily on cross-border placements (the island has more strays than local adopters). Animals are fully vetted before flying. The adopter pays the transport, while the shelter coordinates vaccinations, chipping, and the passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nami, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nami?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.I.R.S. Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nami on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nami if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.I.R.S. Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nami already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nami isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.I.R.S. Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nami and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
