Adopt NANNA

Female

Our two lion cubs, NANNA and Cody, came to us because their previous owners gave up their care. They were born on May 15, 2025. NANNA and Cody are an energetic pair of rabbits looking for a loving home. NANNA is missing a hind leg, so indoor housing is required. Despite her missing leg, she can still move around very well and is active and full of energy. Both should have an enclosure of at least 6 square meters that is permanently accessible, so they have enough space to move and explore. NANNA is friendly, curious, and very active. She is very partner-oriented and loves being close to Cody. Cody is also curious and active, and very caring towards NANNA, paying close attention to her. Both wish for people who appreciate their lively and charming nature and can offer them a safe, species-appropriate home. Due to her missing leg, Nannas ears should be cleaned once a week.

About NANNA

What life with NANNA looks like

NANNA is a adult animal waiting at Tierheim München in Munich.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows NANNA far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting NANNA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NANNA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NANNA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NANNA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NANNA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NANNA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim München early rather than rehoming privately; they know NANNA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
