Please note: Nanuk is only suitable for husbandry in a shelter-like environment. In its new home, it must have the opportunity to be handled with secure training (trained by us to wear a muzzle and leash without direct contact). Therefore, a fenced system must be in place, where Nanuk can still have contact with people but is shielded from direct confrontation. A kennel (with a heated indoor enclosure) and ideally a dog run with outdoor access would be ideal. Nanuk came to the animal shelter through a rescue. Distantness, cuddles, and general touching are not his thing – he likes it when everyone stays in his "dance area." If you respect that, he will build trust and can relax better. He would rather just be out with his person exploring the world. Nanuk defends his food, is not a beginner dog, and wishes for experienced two-leggeds who can give clear guidance and take plenty of time for joint outings. A family with children would not be suitable for Nanuk. If you want to give Nanuk a home, please contact his animal caretakers at the Idefix House. Please plan several visits to the animal shelter to get to know him in peace.

In seinem neuen Zuhause muss es die Möglichkeit geben, ihn mit Sicherheitstraining (bei uns antrainiertes kontaktloses Anziehen von Maulkorb und Leine) zu händeln. Es muss daher ein Zaunsystem vorhanden sein, wo Nanuk zwar mit Kontakt zu Menschen, aber dennoch abgeschirmt von direkter Konfrontation, gehalten wird. Gut eignet sich dafür ein Zwinger (mit beheiztem Innengehege) und bestenfalls ein Hundezimmer mit Außenzugang. Nanuk kam über eine Sicherstellung ins Tierheim. Distanzlosigkeit, Streicheleinheiten und Anfassen generell sind nicht so sein Ding – er mag es, wenn jeder in seinem „Tanzbereich“ bleibt. Wenn man das respektiert, fasst er Vertrauen und kann sich besser entspannen. Am liebsten ist er einfach mit seinem Menschen draußen unterwegs und erschnüffelt sich die Welt. Nanuk verteidigt sein Futter, ist kein Anfängerhund und wünscht sich rasseerfahrene Zweibeiner, die ihm eine klare Führung geben und sich viel Zeit für gemeinsame Ausflüge nehmen können. Für eine Familie mit Kindern eignet er sich nicht. Bitte beachten Sie, dass er in Berlin rassebedingt der Maulkorb- und Leinenpflicht unterliegt und für seine Haltung eine Vermietergenehmigung erforderlich ist.
