Naomi

Female · Young · 2 years

Naomi is a sweet, gentle kitten, a little shy ❤️. Before she came to the foundation and temporary home, she spent her life fighting for every day. Her owner died, Naomi was left alone, and since she lived in the vicinity of an agritourism farm, she started to appear there regularly, because she was simply hungry... She was looking for food, begging for some bites from the guests, not everyone liked it... The owners decided to get rid of the problem - Naomi was to be taken to the forest, so that wild nature would do its thing and that's it... Rescued from a miserable fate, Naomi is about 2 years old and has a wonderful character. ❤️ She is calm, gentle. She loves to cuddle and it's clear that she really needs a person, closeness, attention. She is very attached to the temporary caregiver - as soon as she sees her at the door, she immediately runs up, rubs against her knees, cuddles. Although she had to cope with life on her own and went through a lot, it's clear that she really wants to trust and become someone's. She will be a great friend ❤️. There will definitely be no queues for adoption, it's a brown, unremarkable kitten, but it may hit someone's heart... It's hard to take a picture of her, because at the sight of the temporary caregiver, she immediately runs up and cuddles up to her hands...

PL·Show original

Na niektórych fotkach wygląda, jakby była nadąsana, ale nic z tych rzeczy. Naomi jest przemiłą, delikatną koteczką, troszkę nieśmiałą❤️. Zanim trafiła do fundacji i domu tymczasowego, spędzała życie, walcząc o każdy dzień.

About Naomi

What life with Naomi looks like

Naomi is a young adult cat waiting at Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań in Poznań.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naomi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naomi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naomi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naomi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naomi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naomi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Dla Zwierząt Animalia Poznań early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naomi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
