adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Napoli has found a home! His story: May we introduce? Beagle Napoli! The little puppy already had a home in Romania. However, his owner no longer wanted him, as he had run away from home every year on New Year's Eve. Meanwhile, Napoli only wishes for a warm and safe home where he will not be given away again. Fortunately, the little guy had now had some luck and was allowed to travel to our Stray Nest. There, he can now be visited and has the opportunity to learn a lot. He is incredibly loving, open, and eager to learn and is excited about every new task. We have noticed that he can already sit, even male, and it is likely that he will turn out to be an unexpected package 🙂 A little circus dog! With his approximately 40-42cm height, the handsome male dog is on the smaller side. With his large bat ears, he is a real looker. Napoli is a Beagle mix, likely even a purebred. Beagles are intelligent companions, but they also belong to the hunting dogs. Therefore, a prey drive cannot be ruled out, or it has not yet been tested. It should be willing to work with positive training classes to appropriately channel the hunting instinct, if necessary. Nevertheless, the Beagle is very suitable as a family dog. It is considered intelligent, attentive, and harmonious. Therefore, Napoli is a real win for squeaky toy lovers! Although Napoli is very friendly towards both people and dogs, he will certainly need a lot of love and time to adjust in his new home. We cannot say exactly how well he has already learned to live as a house and family dog, including things like house training, leash walking, or being alone in Romania. Here, he will likely still need some training. But we are confident that the new human-dog team will master the challenge. Napoli is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated. He brings his EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive match. Who has fallen in love with the handsome male dogs and would like to give him a loving and secure home? Many thanks to Claudia D.! You gave Napoli his name. Status: 02.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Napoli hat ein Zuhause gefunden! Seine Geschichte: Dürfen wir vorstellen? Beagle Napoli! Vielen Dank an Claudia D.! Du hast Napoli seinen Namen geschenkt. Stand: 02.03.2025

About Napoli

What life with Napoli looks like

Napoli is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Napoli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Napoli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Napoli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Napoli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Napoli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Napoli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Napoli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
