Adopt Naps

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Not adoptable for dogs at the moment Not adoptable for cats at the moment Adoptable with children Her story Naps is a 7-year-old adorable dog who knows how to stay well-behaved when left alone at home. Naps has not had an easy life, moving from family to family and thus lacking stability and affection. She is also recovering from surgery for a cruciate ligament injury. That is why she is now ready to bring happiness to her future family! Naps is a dog with her own little character but full of love, especially towards children, and will be the ideal companion for her new home to give all the gratitude she has to offer. For information, regarding other animals of the same species, Naps was able to get along with dogs and cats in the past. A work outside with a dog trainer will need to be done following introductions in order for the meeting to take place under good conditions. An educational follow-up with one of our trainers is mandatory to help her flourish in her future home. 📍Adoptable in the PACA region Would you like to meet her? Naps is currently in a foster home until adoption. Her well-being and final placement being our greatest wish, we will take the time to study each request. We thank you for filling out the form by clicking the button below. We will get back to you very quickly. Thank you for her.

About Naps

What life with Naps looks like

Naps is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Les Amis de Sam in les amis de sam.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Naps, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Naps?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Les Amis de Sam handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Naps on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Naps if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Les Amis de Sam will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Naps already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Naps isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Les Amis de Sam early rather than rehoming privately; they know Naps and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
