NARCO (M) - 9 years - Seeks adopters BLC W134005172 ADOPTABLE FRANCE Characteristics: Date of birth: 1/09/2017 Sex: Male Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Disabilities: No Compatibility with children: Yes Compatibility with dogs: Prefers to be the only dog in the house Compatibility with cats: No Compatibility with other: No Personality: Narco's ideal lifelong companion and cuddle champion! Are you looking for the perfect dog to accompany you on all your adventures? You've found him right here! This beautiful little guy is a true treasure in everyday life. Super obedient, absolutely gentle, and very affectionate, he's the ideal life partner for a family. His countless qualities: A guardian angel at home: He is completely non-destructive. When you have guests, he is absolutely fine with them and is very welcoming without being overbearing. He is totally fine with children, with whom he will be gentle and affectionate. The king of walks: Walking on a leash is mastered, and freedom walks are a pure joy thanks to his excellent recall. Outdoors, he is fine with other dogs (we will simply avoid overly dominant males, but he will never seek a fight). Ready for adventure: He willingly gets in the car and behaves like a model passenger. History: The family of Narco asked for our help to find a new home where he could be peaceful again, as he no longer tolerates the other dog in the house, and the tensions have become too numerous for the entire family. Foothold Sought For his well-being, we are looking for an active family that will give him long and beautiful walks and hikes. This is a dog who needs to burn off energy and share special moments in the great outdoors. Note for his future home: Only four-legged member of the house: We will avoid cohabitation with other dogs at home, as he tends to want to regulate their movements and prevent them from moving. A little protective: Very bonded, he has a natural tendency to protect his human. A clear and kind environment will allow him to relax fully.

About NARCO

What life with NARCO looks like

NARCO is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting NARCO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NARCO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NARCO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NARCO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NARCO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NARCO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know NARCO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
