NAVIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 14 months

Navik is a tiny, incredibly fragile senior born around 2012, which means he is now about 14 years old. He weighs just about 8 kg, representing a filigree, delicate format - he is literally a crumb that can easily fit on one's lap. Life has subjected him to the toughest trials: he first survived the nightmare of Wojtyszek, then fate finally smiled upon him - he was adopted, met love, had his soft bed and a beloved person. Unfortunately, his caregiver died. Navik's world collapsed once again, and he - orphaned, devastated and lonely - again ended up behind shelter bars. Since then, he has been waiting. Younger dogs quickly find families, and he remains in the corner of the box... silent, gray, invisible to visitors. Navik is very scared and completely disoriented - he does not understand why, after years of home warmth, he is again surrounded by cold and shelter noise. In his behavior, one can see great fragility, but also a deep, quiet need for closeness. This tiny old man does not ask for much: he dreams of silence, a soft blanket and the presence of a tolerant person, with whom he can safely close his eyes. A 14-year-old, orphaned dog should not die in a shelter - Navik urgently needs a home for a dignified, love-shrouded retirement! Why does special and touching Navik need you? Small, pocket format: Weighing just 8 kg, it is a tiny crumb - light, trouble-free, ideal for a quiet, quiet apartment. Pure, mature modesty: He has no big demands or claims - he only wants a warm corner, a full bowl and peace. Invaluable gratitude of the injured senior: Giving a safe haven to a dog after such experiences is the most beautiful act of mercy, for which Navik will repay with the deepest, silent devotion. We are looking for a very calm, safe and empathetic home for Navik - people with big hearts who will give him time to get used to the new reality and not let his life end in loneliness behind bars. Give him a safe haven, and this tiny old man will breathe a sigh of relief and give you his whole saved heart!

Młodsze psy szybko znajdują rodziny, a on zostaje w kącie boksu… cichy, siwiutki, niewidoczny dla odwiedzających. Dlaczego wyjątkowy i rozczulający Navik potrzebuje właśnie Ciebie? Niewielki, kieszonkowy format: Ważąc zaledwie 8 kg, to drobna kruszynka – leciutki, niekłopotliwy, idealny do spokojnego, cichego mieszkania. Podaruj mu bezpieczną przystań, a ten maleńki staruszek odetchnie z ulgą i podaruje Ci całe swoje ocalone serce!

About NAVIK

What life with NAVIK looks like

NAVIK is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Frequently asked

Adopting NAVIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NAVIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NAVIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NAVIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is NAVIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NAVIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know NAVIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
