Nelson, born approximately September 2024, neutered, approximately 60cm shoulder height, in the shelter since December 2024. Nelson was found abandoned with his brothers Niccolo, Noah, and Nikita on a field and initially brought to safety. Since they cannot stay with their finders, they came to Maria's shelter and are allowed to travel from there to their families. Nelson is no longer a puppy but a friendly young dog: curious, playful and attentively observing - the world still seems right exciting to him. Because he has had little close contact with people in everyday life so far, you sometimes notice that he waits a moment before opening up. Give him a moment, he shows himself accessible and becomes bolder from day to day. Nelson is compatible with other dogs, and he has already enjoyed first walks with our volunteer Lorena. Currently in Romania and allowed to travel out if a home is found. Travels chipped and vaccinated (EU vaccination passport; vaccinations: rabies and basic immunization). All dogs are treated for intestinal parasites and ectoparasites at their arrival in the shelter and at least once a year thereafter. The described behavioral observations are based on everyday life in the shelter and may be different in a domestic environment under changed living conditions. 12/2025 Nelson, geboren ca. 09/2024, kastriert, ca. 60cm Schulterhöhe, im Shelter seit 12/2024 Nelson wurde gemeinsam mit seinen Brüdern Niccolo, Noah und Nikita verlassen auf einem Feld gefunden und zunächst in Sicherheit gebracht. Da sie bei ihren Findern nicht bleiben können, kamen sie zu Maria ins Shelter und dürfen sich von dort aus auf die Reise zu ihren Familien machen. Nelson ist inzwischen kein Welpe mehr, sondern ein freundlicher Junghund: neugierig, verspielt und aufmerksam beobachtend – die Welt findet er weiterhin richtig spannend. Weil er im Alltag bisher nur wenig engen Kontakt zu Menschen hatte, merkt man am Anfang manchmal, dass er kurz abwartet, bevor er sich öffnet. Gibt man ihm einen Moment, zeigt er sich zugänglich und wird von Tag zu Tag mutiger. Mit anderen Hunden ist Nelson verträglich, und mit unserer Volontärin Lorena durfte er auch schon erste Spaziergänge genießen. Befindet sich aktuell in Rumänien und darf ausreisen, wenn er ein Zuhause gefunden hat. Reist gechipt und geimpft (EU Impfpass; Impfungen: Tollwut und Grundimmunisierung). Alle Hunde werden bei ihrer Ankunft im Shelter sowie anschließend mindestens einmal jährlich gegen Darmparasiten und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Die geschilderten Verhaltensbeobachtungen basieren auf dem Alltag im Shelter und können sich in einem häuslichen Umfeld unter veränderten Lebensbedingungen entsprechend anders darstellen.
