Nena is a 3-year-old girl who came to us from Gradiška with her sister, Lena. Both girls were described as very sad and unhappy when they arrived, and it is clear that Nena needs time, care and reassurance as she begins to settle into life at Hope. For dogs like Nena, feeling safe can take time. Shelter life gives her food, veterinary care and protection, but what she really needs is the stability and comfort that only a loving home can provide. Nena recently had a visit from the vet along with the other dogs who arrived with her. She has now received her rabies vaccination and anti-parasite treatment, helping to prepare her for the next stage of her journey. At three years old, Nena still has so much life ahead of her. We hope that with patience, kindness and the security of a family of her own, she can leave the sadness behind and begin to enjoy the future she deserves.
