NÉO

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy

RESERVED-NEO (M) – 8 months - Seeks adopters BLC W134005172 Adoptable in France Characteristics Date of birth: 2/07/2025 Sex: Puppy, Male Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Health issues: No Compatibility with children: OK but needs to be with a bigger, more mature child as he can be a bit rough Compatibility with dogs: Yes Compatibility with cats: OK (wants to play) Compatibility with other: No Temperament. NÉO is a gentle and affectionate puppy, he hasn’t learned to walk on a leash yet but is attentive, he is big and strong. He’s a big baby who hasn’t been trained and whose education needs to be perfected, he’s not reactive to cars, bicycles, joggers, etc. He reacts a bit to pigeons, maybe avoid chickens. History He spent the first months of his life in a family with three very young children, had some basic education but not enough, and not enough outings. He was given to a couple a month ago who live in an apartment and know nothing about training, and are not physically capable of taking him out, they are in an apartment and there are no places where he can be let loose. He’s lost, destabilized, he’s bored. He’s not left alone for fear that he will destroy, he’s a big baby. Everything needs to be redone with him but he’s ready and attentive, he’s just not in the right place. Foster home sought A family aware that it’s a puppy who, although balanced, is currently destabilized and requires time, education, and an adapted active life. He’s a large, powerful dog who can inadvertently knock over a child. He has Laika Yakoutie traits (notably a running instinct and a work recall). The ideal family must be well aware of the needs of both breeds, have experience in dog training, and be ready to fully invest. This dog has great potential and deserves a family up to the task.

About NÉO

What life with NÉO looks like

NÉO is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting NÉO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NÉO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NÉO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NÉO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NÉO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NÉO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know NÉO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
