Today I will introduce you to Niklas, a one-year-old kitten who came under my care in March. He is from the same Raikküla cat colony, from which a few years ago the mother cat Nette arrived with her three kittens - they are now all in their own homes. This year I have already taken 9 cats from the Raikküla colony. All of them had dental and ear problems, so they had to visit the clinic several times. When Niklas arrived here, he was a very wild kitten, hissing and swatting with his paws. However, I managed to catch him in the trap to start socializing him with people. It was already clear when he arrived that Niklas would be a one-eyed kitten - one eye was so damaged that it could not be saved and had to be removed to prevent future problems. Niklas was quiet and gradually began to trust people. It seemed that after the eye operation he started seeking more closeness and affection. He still fears strangers, but he has already recognized me as his owner: he always waits for me and immediately demands to be held and cuddled. However, he definitely needs some time to adjust with new people, so this should be taken into account when offering him a home. Niklas has undergone all necessary procedures: he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives regular flea treatment. Only dental work remains, after which he will be ready to go home. Täna tutvustan teile Niklast, peagi aastaseks saavat kassipoissi, kes saabus minu hoole alla märtsis. Pärit on ta sellest samast Raikküla kassikolooniast, kust tuli paar aastat tagasi kassiema Nette oma kolme pojaga – nemad on tänaseks juba oma kodudes. Sellel aastal olen Raikküla kolooniast juba 9 kassi ära toonud. Kõigil neil olid hammaste- ja kõrvaprobleemid, nii et kliinikus pidi käima mitmeid kordi. Kui Niklas siia saabus, siis oli ta üks väga tige kassipoiss, susises ja vehkis käpaga. Pleedi sees sain teda siiski sülle võtta, et teda inimesega harjutada. Juba tulles oli selge, et Niklasest saab ühesilmne kassipoiss – üks silm oli niivõrd kahjustunud, et seda enam päästa ei saanud ja see tuli eemaldada, et tulevasi probleeme ennetada. Niklas kosus ja tasapisi hakkas tekkima ka usaldus inimese vastu. Tundus, et just pärast silmaoperatsiooni hakkas ta rohkem lähedust ja hellust otsima. Võõraid ta muidugi veel pelgab, aga mind on ta juba omainimeseks tunnistanud: ootab alati mu tulekut ja nõuab kohe häälekalt sülle ja paisid.
