Nilix

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Nilix has found its own home! His story: 93128 Regenstauf. Nilix has been waiting in his foster home since early February! Nilix is 4 months old and developing wonderfully. Like any puppy, he is of course just the sweetest – with his white/black fur, delicate build, and ears that lay forward, one would want to cuddle and protect him all the time. And the best part is, that’s exactly what he currently loves the most 🙂 In his foster family, he lives together with a younger child, and it’s going wonderfully. He actively seeks out closeness and feels at ease with his people. Another dog in the household would surely please him. Nilix has handled his first small walks very well: although he is still somewhat unsure outside, he already walks nicely on a leash. He gets along well with all dogs, is reserved but also curious, but he is no pushover. Passing cars do not interest the little boy, people and children find him great. Driving with Nilix goes without a problem. Nilix has the pubertal phase ahead of him. A time when boundaries are often tested and the occasional prank is played. During this time, Nilix wishes for people who will take him by the two front legs and accompany him with patience, consistency, but also a lot of love. The little puppy would also be very happy about a visit to puppy or dog training classes. Shockingly in love? The golden Nilix can be met in his foster home. After a positive assessment, he will be microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. Has Nilix made your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks, Gritt! You have named Nilix!

Vielen Dank Gritt! Du hast Nilix seinen Namen geschenkt!

About Nilix

What life with Nilix looks like

Nilix is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nilix, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nilix?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nilix on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nilix if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nilix already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nilix isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nilix and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
