Nina is a dog that was found along a busy street while being chased by a woman who threw stones at her and her mother Leslie. She was initially hesitant but was eventually picked up by one of our rescuers, Emilia, in exchange for a piece of pizza. At the shelter, Nina is playful, lets people pet her when they enter, and behaves like a typical puppy. It remains to be seen how she will develop. The sooner Nina can leave the shelter and be taken in by a loving home in the Netherlands, the greater the chance that she will adapt relatively smoothly to her new life as a beloved family pet. Of course, the transition will still be significant and will require a lot of rest, patience, and small steps so that she is not overwhelmed by all the new impressions. The video below shows how Leslie and Nina were found: When a suitable adopter or foster family comes along for her, our foundation will arrange transportation from the shelter using professional pet transport. Our dogs are brought home one by one to their foster home or their permanent home.

Nina is gevonden langs een drukke straat, terwijl ze samen met haar moeder Leslie werd opgejaagd door een vrouw die stenen naar ze gooide. Ze was wat afwachtend, maar liet zich in ruil voor een stukje pizza gelukkig wel oppakken door Emilia, een van onze rescuers. In het asiel is ze speels, laat zich aanhalen als iemand binnenkomt en gedraagt zich als een echte pup. Hoe ze zich zal ontwikkelen is afwachten. Des te eerder Nina het asiel kan verlaten en in een fijn thuis in Nederland wordt opgevangen en begeleid, des te groter de kans dat zij zich relatief soepel zal aanpassen aan haar nieuwe leven als geliefde huishond. Natuurlijk blijft de overgang groot en betekent dat de eerste periode veel rust, geduld en kleine stapjes nodig heeft, zodat ze niet wordt overweldigd door al die nieuwe indrukken. Het filmpje hieronder laat zien hoe Leslie en Nina gevonden werden: Wanneer zich een goed passende adoptant of een gastgezin aandient voor haar, dan regelt onze stichting het vervoer vanaf het asiel, met professioneel huisdiertransport. Onze hondjes worden één voor één thuisgebracht bij het adres van hun opvang of hun blijvende thuis.
