* for an explanation, read Why we are careful placing our foreign dogs in families with young children please. Information: Jellybean has come to Elisha's asylum as a puppy and has unfortunately had little contact with people since. We've met her several times in the pound and it's very sad to see how bad socialization has an impact on this little girl. She is incredibly gentle and sweet, but finds new people, situations and things exciting. If you take your time for her, she'll thaw pretty quickly. She really wants to get in touch, but she needs some time to really dare. She is very curious and fond of sniffing, so you can help her to become more confident. Do you have a warm basket left to help Jellybean thaw? Our most recent meeting with Jellybean was in January 2026. In the kennel she really wants to contact but is also uncertain. At first our colleagues, sitting in the kennel, ignored her - so she dared to snoop at them. On a next visit in the same week, little Jellybean was petted (see the movies, further down on this page) Our team members also took her for a walk, just like during previous visits. That went surprisingly well! Jellybean was more confident in contact during the walk than in the kennel. Jellybean receives daily pet therapy this week (18-25 January '26):
