Nini

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Young · 1 year

Hi everyone I'm handsome boy Nini I came into YCR via the vets and am now ready to find the purrfect new home, I've got my handsome paws crossed it's with you. I have spent some time in a foster home as the team at YCR wanted to monitor my over grooming as the vets originally thought I may have Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome (FHS) The vets are now confident that my over grooming isn't caused by FHS as my fur has improved since being on some special medication which I will need to stay on for 6 more months. YCR will explain everything regarding this to you and also cover the cost of the medication. My foster Mum says " Nini is a very sweet boy full of 1year old playfulness. He loves his wand toy, and his tunnel and loves to lie in wait behind furniture to ambush us! He's not particularly cuddly yet but does like to be stroked and will be picked up for increasing periods. He actively seeks us out to sleep nearby during the day. He prefers wet food to dry, and currently will eat any flavour, any make. He's going to make a wonderful pet" I am looking for a quiet home, one with no other pets or children would be purrfect If you think I'm the boy for you please click "Apply Here" and fill in an application form" I can't wait to start my happily furever after with you xxxx

About Nini

What life with Nini looks like

Nini is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nini, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nini?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nini on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nini if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nini already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nini isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nini and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
