adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Noah has found a home! His story: Noah is a delicate, white-brown male dog with large, attentive ears that catch every subtle sound – perhaps in the hope of hearing the voices of the people he once loved. For there is a feeling that Noah misses someone, someone he lost without understanding why. Noah was found by Calin, just a few meters from our shelter, alone, frightened, and apparently exposed. For a sensitive little dog like him, the world must have seemed completely out of order at that moment. Noah is estimated to be about 3 years old and has a small size, measuring 30 cm and weighing 7 kg. In the shelter, it is hard for Noah to settle down. The noise, the hustle and bustle, the many strange dogs – all of this overloads him. Most of the time, he hides in his hut, a place that at least gives him a small sense of security. He is initially very reserved and needs people who can see him, even if he hides. People who give him time to build trust without pressing him. But so sensitive Noah is, so gentle is he: he shows no aggression, lets everything happen patiently, and simply tries to understand us humans. On the leash, he still feels insecure, but with loving, calm company, he will surely learn how nice walks can be. Noah gets along well with other dogs. For Noah, we are looking for a quiet, empathetic home – with people who give him the space he needs and guide him step by step into a new, loving life. A home where he no longer has to hide how much he longs for closeness, security, and safety. Noah is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He has his EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive match. Who will give Noah the happy ending he so deserves? Many thanks to Melanie V.! You have given Noah his name! Many thanks to Laura Denise L.! You support Noah with a monthly sponsorship! As of: 30.11.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Melanie V.! Du hast Noah seinen Namen geschenkt! Vielen Dank an Laura Denise L.! Du unterstützt Noah mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! Stand: 30.11.2025

About Noah

What life with Noah looks like

Noah is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Noah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Noah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Noah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Noah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Noah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Noah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Noah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
