Nobbi

British Shorthair · Male · Young · 3 years

– a golden BKH Status: open Name: Nobbi Breed: BKH Gender: neutered/uncastrated Color: brown Age: 3 years Old gets along with: fellow animals Although a purebred Nobbi came to us as an uncastrated stray, he is about 3 years old and an absolutely loving and friendly cuddler! Nobbi loves fresh air – that's why at least a nice safe balcony should be available for him. He gets along well with similarly aged fellow animals; you don't have to kiss everyone. Nobbi likes people very much, he is always friendly to big and small! Wishes for home: For Nobbi, we wish for a family, preferably with children, and maybe a pre-existing friendly cat. A walk is nice – but it's not a must, see above. Contact:. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Nobbi

What life with Nobbi looks like

Nobbi is a small young adult british shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nobbi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nobbi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nobbi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nobbi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nobbi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nobbi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nobbi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
