NOIRETTE (F)- 7 years- to adopt BLC W134005172 Characteristics Date of birth: 12/10/2016 Sex: Female Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Disabilities: Yes: but no special needs Social with children: Not tested Social with dogs: Yes Social with cats: Yes after introduction Social with other: Not known Character Noirette is a gentle, calm and shy dog, somewhat timid at first. Once she is trustful, she becomes very affectionate. She gets along with other dogs (very submissive) and does not know many cats but is interested in them. From her past, Noirette has a "old lady" manner. But beware, if a car passes, she starts running like a young girl. Noirette knows very little about cars (she doesn't like them much). She drools a bit but is not sick. She knows the transport crate. Noirette does not know the leash at all and it terrifies her for now. Going out of the garden terrifies her. She is a rather homebound dog who loves her bed, cuddles and her bowl. Story Noirette lived alone with three other dogs in a village. Her owner recently passed away. Noirette only knew her house and the surroundings. She must discover everything at 7 years old. She was the target of her companions and spent a lot of time under the furniture hiding from them. What family for Noirette? : Noirette will need a patient family that takes the time to accompany her to help her progress. She has a lot to discover but won't do it on her own. She will need a lot of encouragement. She is an extremely kind and gentle dog. Home sought Adoption Neutered/spayed: No, but will need to be Vaccinated: Yes Identification: 250 269 591 412 231 Address: Pranzac, France Participation in costs: 180€ Contact person: Cham Ghislaine Dubois via messenger Email: Share on PinterestShare with your friends Your Name Your Email Recipient Email Enter a Message I read this article and found it very interesting, I think you might like it. About NOIRETTE

What life with NOIRETTE looks like

NOIRETTE is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting NOIRETTE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about NOIRETTE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw NOIRETTE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt NOIRETTE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is NOIRETTE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if NOIRETTE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know NOIRETTE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
