Nola en Bun

Mixed Breed · Male · 6 months

Nola and Bun came to our shelter with their siblings. At first, they were very shy and found everything exciting. They have now made great progress in their foster home and are increasingly showing what fun and curious cats they are. Nola is very adventurous and curious. She likes to explore and alternates her adventures with lovely naps. Together with her siblings, she can then run enthusiastically around the room during a wild play session. Bun still finds everything a bit exciting! He is growing up with children and dogs and also likes to play with his siblings, he needs a lot of patience. He can also be petted more and more, but with a fixed spot he will really pull you in a short time! When it is quiet in the house, he also likes to play with the fishing rod. They grow up with other cats and a dog, and that goes very well. They are also getting used to children, but they still find them exciting. We therefore advise against small children. Are you looking for a curious, playful and sweet cat that will grow into a great housemate with some patience? Then Nola and Bun may be the perfect match!

NL·Show original

About Nola en Bun

What life with Nola en Bun looks like

Nola en Bun is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem in Netherlands.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nola en Bun, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nola en Bun?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nola en Bun on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nola en Bun if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nola en Bun already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nola en Bun isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Dierenasiel Gorinchem early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nola en Bun and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
