Novalee is a member of the Raikküla colony and arrived at the shelter in spring 2021 along with several other cats. Between the ordinary tabbies and black-and-white cats, the white cat seemed strangely out of place. One might think that he is an escaped house cat who accidentally ended up here, but clearly he has never had a home, as he initially didn't want anything to do with people. Novalee was a fierce fighter and a biter and needed peace. I let him get used to things at his own pace and instead of trying to talk to him, I limited myself to quiet conversations. After the quarantine, it became clear that in the cat room, Novaleel is still better and perhaps getting used to people there will be easier. So now Novalee is in the cat room, the hissing and swatting have gradually decreased, and now he even approaches me to work and bring food. It will take some more time for Novaleel to get used to people and the home must be quite patient with his sensitive nature, but once he starts thawing, he can become a wonderful companion. Novalee on Raikküla koloonia liige ja jõudis koos mitme teise kiisuga turvakoju 2021. aasta kevadel. Harilike triibikute ja must-valgete vahel mõjus lumivalge kiisu kummaliselt. Võiks arvata, et ta on kaotsi läinud kodukass ja sinna juhuslikult sattunud, kuid ilmselgelt pole tal kodu olnud, sest inimesega ei soovinud ta esialgu mingit tegemist teha. Novalee oli kõva mässaja ja mürgeldaja ning vajas rahu. Lasin tal siis omas tempos harjuda ja piirdusin vaiksete vestlustega sülle võtmise asemel. Karantiiniaja lõppedes sai selgeks, et kassitoas teiste hulgas on Novaleel siiski parem ja ehk tuleb ka leppimine inimesega seal kergemini. Nii müttab nüüd Novalee kassitoas, susinat ja käpaga vehkimist on aina vähemaks jäänud ning koos teistega tõttab ta mulle juba vastu kui toimetama ja toitu viima lähen. Novaleel läheb inimesega harjumiseks veel aega ja kodu peab olema üsna kannatlik tema tõreda meelega, kuid kord kui hakkab jää sulama, saab temast imearmas kaaslane.
