Adopt Nuche

Male · Young · 2 years

Nuche has a lot going for him. He’s very clever and already learned lots of useful cues, and being very foody he’s always keen to learn more. He travels well in a car so will enjoy joining his new family on outdoors adventures in peaceful places where there isn’t much livestock around as in true Lurcher style he does have a natural chase instinct. He happily wears his muzzle out and about as he does have a habit of picking things up he shouldn’t! His favourite places to explore are beaches, woods and rivers as he does love the water! So if you are looking for an exceptionally fun and interactive young dog and you have time to work with us to settle him in slowly, add Nuche to your favourites now! Looking for a super smart, super fun and super handsome Lurcher? Then meet Nuche! He’s 2yrs old and bursting with potential. He’s quite shy initially but once he’s familiar there’s no stopping him! He’s very affectionate and loves to snuggle with his friends. He’s also really playful. If you bring the toys out, you’ll make his day! He’s fine to make doggy friends out and about for walkies but doesn’t like to share his home so will need to be the only pet. He needs a calm home and a consistent routine, so an adult only home would be ideal. He’s already house trained too!

About Nuche

What life with Nuche looks like

Nuche is a young adult dog waiting at Dogs Trust Leeds in Leeds.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nuche, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nuche?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Leeds handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nuche on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nuche if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Leeds will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nuche already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nuche isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Leeds early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nuche and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
