Obi, male Chihuahua for adoption at Raystede Centre, Ringmer

About Obi

Introduction: Obi is a sensitive worried boy who will be looking for a kind patient home to build his confidence. Home wanted: Obi is looking for a calm quiet patient home where adopters will give him the space to bond and trust. He would like access to his own secure garden to help with confidence building. He is housetrained, ok travelling, and may prefer a home with company. Obi can be worried by lots of noise and activity so would prefer a quiet home in a quiet area. Behaviour towards people/children: Obi can be worried when meeting new people and will require a calm quiet patient approach to making friends. He will bond closely with those he trusts. Obi may prefer an adult only home or a home where any children are older teenagers who would be happy to take a slow approach with him. He may prefer a home with no young visiting children. Other animals: Obi has previously lived with other small dogs and has previously been described as social with other dogs. Obi can be worried by bigger dogs but is social with small dogs, so he could live with a calm confident similar sized dog who will help grow his confidence. Not suited to living with cats, birds or small animals as will chase. Additional needs (behavioural/extra support): Obi would like a home with an understanding of, and the time to, support him both behaviourally and emotionally. A home that understands he will need a gentle approach when making new friends. Obi will require several meets to get to know someone.
