adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Ogir has found a home! His story: Ogir is about 4.5 years old, barely hand-sized at 40 cm, and is a sweet black poodle with wonderfully lively, brown button eyes. One look at one of these dogs and you can't help but smile. Currently, Ogir lives in our shelter in Fantanele. His story is sad: He was tied up in an unoccupied yard by a man with mental issues, but the reason why is unknown. A vigilant woman noticed this and immediately asked for our help – so Ogir finally got the chance to be saved and find safety. Despite whatever he may have experienced, Ogir remains an absolute people lover. He is very lively, open, and utterly crazy about closeness. Ogir comes up to you joyfully, demands every cuddle, and enjoys attention to the fullest. Throughout, he shows bravery, friendliness, and a full zest for life – a dog who simply loves to be right in the middle of the action and belong. Ogir gets along well with other dogs, both male and female. As for compatibility with cats, we can't say for sure at the moment, but we can certainly do a test. Like many dogs from abroad, Ogir probably hasn't experienced life in a normal household or only partially. Things like house training, leash walking, car rides, or everyday life in the house need to be taught to him. For that, we wish for people who enjoy patiently explaining the world to a clever and active dog and lovingly accompany him through his new life. Ogir would not only be an absolute winner as an end-of-shelter dog – a foster home would also greatly help him to finally get out of his current environment and show his potential. If you want to give a happy, people-loving little guy with a big heart a chance, then Ogir could be exactly the right one for you. After a positive Eva H.! You have given Ogir his name! Date: 11.02. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Aktuell lebt Ogir in unserem Shelter in Fantanele. Vielen Dank Eva H.! Du hast Ogir seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 11.02.2026

About Ogir

What life with Ogir looks like

Ogir is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ogir, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ogir?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ogir on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ogir if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ogir already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ogir isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ogir and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
