Oizaa (F) - 7 years - Looking for adopters (BLC W134005172) Characteristics Birthday: 18/09/2018 Gender: Female Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Disabilities: No Child friendly: Yes Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Other animal friendly: No Character Oizaa is a loving and very attached dog to her human. She is playful. She used to accompany her family by bike or on walks and she loved it. Oizaa is also very calm, gentle and delicate. She lives with children. She has learned basic commands but recall needs to be strengthened. She pulls a little on the leash, not on a long line. She has some character but is obedient. She knows the crate. She does not really like small dogs. She knows how to leave the house cats in peace. She is afraid of loud noises for two years. (Thunder. Wind. Gunshot. Etc). We avoid ball games. She is well-behaved in the car and can carpool to join you. Story Oizaa had a beautiful life until her family faced personal difficulties. Today she has only been outside in the garden and spends entire days alone. She suffers greatly from loneliness. It's time to find her a new home. Ideal Home - A family that is fairly present who will gently teach her to cope with loneliness. With a fenced yard to start with. - A family who will offer her physical and mental activity as any border collie should. - A family rather in a countryside environment. Borderline Collie is a non-profit association. In order to continue our work of sheltering and retraining border collies, we ask for a contribution to adoption fees for the dogs we rehome. About Oizaa

What life with Oizaa looks like

Oizaa is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Oizaa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Oizaa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Oizaa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Oizaa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Oizaa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Oizaa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Oizaa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
