Ole

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

I am Ole, just 1 year old, and I am losing my home. I am actually a really great guy at home. I am house trained, love people, love to cuddle and can relax wonderfully at home. I can also stay alone for short periods and I love car rides. I have learned a lot and am getting better at orienting myself to my humans. But I have a problem: dog encounters on a leash. When I see other dogs, I get very excited, bark and pull on the leash. And it is exactly because of this problem that I am losing my home. I am still so young and can learn so much. I just need dog-experienced people who can give me security, have patience with me and are willing to work with me on this. Please don't just see the Ole who barks on a leash. See the loving, cuddly and clever young dog behind it. You can meet me in Munich. Maybe there is someone who says: "Come Ole, we can do it together." Please share me - maybe I will find the person I am waiting for. Make an inquiry for Ole

About Ole

What life with Ole looks like

Ole is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ole, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ole?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ole on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ole if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ole already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ole isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ole and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
