Olena mayo

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 5 months

Larysa and Olena are two little sisters, just over three months old, who were born—along with many other kittens—on a farm where they lived surrounded by trash and without proper care. Although they’re quite different from one another, both are absolutely adorable. Olena is fearless, curious, and highly sociable; she approaches anyone without the slightest bit of fear. She loves to investigate everything going on around her, is very talkative, and enjoys being the center of attention. Larysa, on the other hand, is more reserved, observant, and sensitive. She needs more time to trust and let herself be petted, but once she realizes you respect her space, she starts seeking your company and gradually comes closer. Plus, she’s a real glutton and finds great comfort in her little sister. Together, they make a perfect pair. Like any kitten their age, they spend their days playing, chasing each other, and exploring every nook and cranny. They’re looking for a forever home where they can continue growing up together, where they’ll be loved just as they are, and where their different personalities will be respected. In return, they’ll fill the home with joy, purring, mischief, and lots of love. If you think you can give them the opportunity they deserve, write to us to meet them. Cat kittens should live in pairs for optimal socialization. Show more of their story Show less

About Olena mayo

What life with Olena mayo looks like

Olena mayo is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at ALBA Protectora Madrid in Madrid.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olena mayo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olena mayo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ALBA Protectora Madrid handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olena mayo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olena mayo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ALBA Protectora Madrid will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olena mayo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olena mayo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ALBA Protectora Madrid early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olena mayo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
