Olivera

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 11 months

Olivera is a spayed mixed-breed female puppy born in October 2025, who was found with her siblings Odette, Obelix, Ottilia, Oda, Ollie, and Oliver as a litter and brought to the Serbian animal shelter Svilos. She and her siblings were raised lovingly at the shelter and are now waiting for a caring forever family. Olivera is a very loving, friendly, and people-oriented young dog who quickly brings good mood with her lively and playful nature. She enjoys the attention of all people and is happy to spend time together. Her great eagerness to learn is particularly noteworthy: Olivera is extremely eager to learn, attentive, and concentrates surprisingly well on what you want from her. She is already practicing "sit" during exercise and is fully concentrated on the task. She seems to really enjoy learning something new and mastering a small "task" with her humans. Since Olivera loves treats above all else, she brings great motivation for further training. With loving guidance and positive reinforcement, she will certainly learn many more things with enthusiasm. In addition to her eagerness to learn, Olivera is a happy and playful dog. She likes toys and is happy to get excited about playing together. In her future home, she wants to spend time with her humans and discover the world and gain many new experiences. The dog is so far well-suited with her peers. She has not yet been able to get to know cats and other animals, and it is not known how she reacts to them.

HU·Show original

About Olivera

What life with Olivera looks like

Olivera is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Care Hungary.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olivera, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olivera?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Care Hungary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olivera on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olivera if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Care Hungary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olivera already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olivera isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Care Hungary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olivera and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
