Olivia

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Female dog – approx. 7 months old (as of October 2026) – still growing – in foster care in 19260 Vellahn Origin: Olivia is one of the puppies who were rescued from a public animal shelter in Bulgaria together with her mother Mochi and her siblings: Dolly, Billie, Madonna, Ava, Aurora and Charlie. After their rescue, the little family spent some time at a veterinary clinic for observation and medical care. Olivia now lives in foster care in Germany, where she is eagerly waiting for her own family. Personality: Olivia is an incredibly lovable, calm, playful and curious female dog whom you will quickly fall in love with. In her foster home she has already made great progress: she can now relax very well, seeks closeness, builds trust and enjoys being in company. She is affectionate, playful and attentive, and she learns quickly when she is met with calm, patience and loving consistency. With her curious nature and gentle temperament, she shows again and again how much potential she has. Olivia is a sensitive dog who needs security and a sense of safety in her surroundings. While she is growing more comfortable within the four walls of her home, life in the city is a great challenge for her. The many noises, people and impressions can quickly overwhelm her. That is why we wish for Olivia a quiet home on the outskirts of town or in the countryside, where she can settle into a more relaxed environment and discover the world at her own pace. Her future people should give her plenty of time, patience and love, and allow her to build trust step by step. Olivia needs people who do not force anything from her and who appreciate small progress. They should show her that the world can be a beautiful and safe place: people who give her time to build trust and lovingly accompany her as she becomes more and more self-confident. Anyone who meets Olivia with patience, understanding and a great deal of love will gain a wonderful, affectionate and joyful companion who, in a safe environment, can show what a truly special dog she is. *We expressly point out that behaviors in a new environment can change after some time. This should be taken into account with every adoption! Self-disclosure adoption

Selbstauskunft Adoption

About Olivia

What life with Olivia looks like

Olivia is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Kleine & große Pfoten e.V. in Germany (national, Bulgaria rescue focus).

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Olivia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olivia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kleine & große Pfoten e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olivia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olivia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kleine & große Pfoten e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Olivia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olivia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kleine & große Pfoten e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olivia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
