Ollie - a little treasure is looking for his forever home ❤️ about 2 years old (as of 13.09.2026) | friendly, lively Ollie was found all alone in a field. Fortunately, our animal protector was immediately on the scene and secured him. ❤️ So the little guy didn't have to be left to his own devices for longer. Of course, Ollie was thoroughly examined by a veterinarian first - and we can breathe a sigh of relief: thank goodness everything is in order! 🥰🐾 Now Ollie can look for his own home. 🏡💕 The two-year-old male shows himself to be uncomplicated and unobtrusive in dealing with his own kind. Ollie is also open and friendly to people. He approaches his environment with curiosity and without great fear of contact. ❤️ Now all he needs is a warm bed, loving people, and a home where he can finally arrive and stay forever. Maybe his happy ending is waiting for him with you? 🐶💗 Ollie is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, neutered, and examined by a veterinarian and in possession of an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Traces papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases with a rapid test. The deposit is €520 plus €30 for the purchase of the safety harness. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we orient ourselves exclusively on the external appearance and the observable behavior (phenotype). That is: This assignment is made according to the best knowledge and conscience of the association and the participating veterinarians. However, these details do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), because a reliable determination of this would only be possible through a DNA analysis. In addition, the behavioral and character description of the respective animal is based on careful observations by the animal protectors on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments relate exclusively to the current local conditions in the shelters or foster homes. It is important to understand that the fur nose changes after a successful

About Ollie

What life with Ollie looks like

Ollie is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ollie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ollie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ollie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ollie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ollie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ollie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ollie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
