Adopt Otis

Male

Otis – Norwich area Adoption fee for Otis is £350 2 ½ years old Male, tweenie (7kg), chocolate dapple Neutered Otis is a sweet-natured boy and his family are heart-broken to be looking to rehome him, but sadly he is no longer getting on with his older dachshund brother (who is intact). Although they get on much of the time, the tension of occasional fights is taking its toll on both dogs and the family has reluctantly decided that Otis, as a younger dog with no health issues, will be happier with a new family. At home, Otis loves nothing more than a lap to rest on or a blanket to snuggle under. He can be left for up to two hours but he is a sociable boy and is used to having people around most of the time. He has a loud bark for people he does not know, but is happy to make friends and his love can be reliably bought with some tasty treats. Otis will soon become your new favourite sous chef, hoping that all recipes involve some kind of cheese that needs to be taste tested first! Outside the home, Otis is an active boy who has regular walks and walks well on the lead. He has reasonably good recall, as long as there are no rabbits to sniff out in the vicinity. He is sociable with dogs when he gets to know them, but can be barky towards unknown ones – he has responded well to training and is very food-motivated which should make future training straightforward. Otis is in excellent health. He travels well in the car. At night-time he sleeps in a dog-bed with his brother. Overall, Otis is a gorgeous boy who will be a great addition for a daxie loving family who will give him the patience and training he needs to reach his full potential.
