Owl

Mixed Breed Β· Male

Breed: Persian x Scottish Fold Can live with: Older Children 10+ 🐾 Could Owl be the characterful companion you’ve been searching for? 🐾 Handsome Owl came to RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from a multi-cat household and was in quite a sorry state when he first arrived. He was underweight and badly matted, but with lots of care, patience, and attention, this gorgeous boy is now looking absolutely stunning. πŸ’™ Owl may have an adorably grumpy face, but don’t let that fool you… behind that expression is a cheeky, playful lad with tonnes of personality! He loves fun, games, and keeping everyone entertained with his charming character. Owl is a Persian cross Scottish Fold, so he is looking for owners who understand the care needs of both breeds and are ready to commit to his regular grooming and ongoing care. Now all Owl needs is a loving forever home where he can be cherished the way he deserves. 🏑 Could you be the one to give this handsome boy his happy ending? If you’re interested in adopting our sweet lad, please get in touch with RSPCA Bluebell Ridge today. Scroll through the gallery of images above or click to open

About Owl

What life with Owl looks like

Owl is a adult mixed breed animal waiting at RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Owl far better than any listing can convey β€” ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Owl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Owl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Owl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Owl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Owl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Owl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton and the Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Owl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
