Ozzy

Cavapoo · Male · Adult · 4 years

Ozzy is a 4-year-old, male, Cavapoochon looking for a loving family home. He is a fun, affectionate, playful dog, who loves being a part of everyday life. Ozzy’s favourite place to go for a walk is the beach, he loves to run around & play fetch and also enjoys having a fun game of football with the family. Ozzy loves a tasty chew or a bone when it’s time to wind down & relax and he is fond of resting on a soft fluffy blanket. He may bark briefly when visitors arrive, however, he settles quickly once reassured and introduced. He is used to being left alone for a maximum of 2 hours. He requires regular grooming and has visits the groomers every 2 months. Ozzy lives with young children ages ranging from 1 year +. He is very gentle, patient and affectionate toward them and loves snuggling up. He could possibly be suitable to live with children of all ages with calm & gentle introductions. Ozzy has not been introduced to cats and for this reason we feel he would best suit a home without them. He gets along well with other dogs. He has experience with group walks, doggy daycare, and visits/stays with family dogs. For this reason, we feel he could potentially live with another dog, depending on introductions. Medical conditions – on occasion Ozzy gets the odd ear infection so for this reason his ears need to be cleaned regularly. He has a small cyst on his back which doesn’t cause him any issues. Both have been checked by his own vets. Ozzy is being rehomed as part of our home to home scheme. This means we don’t undertake any official medical or behavioural assessments but we are supporting Ozzy’s owner to try and find him the perfect match. If we think you’ll make a good match, we will share your contact details with the current owner. They will be in touch if they would like to discuss the adoption further, and potentially arrange to meet. Register to Rehome

About Ozzy

What life with Ozzy looks like

Ozzy is a small adult cavapoo animal waiting at JSPCA — Jersey SPCA in United Kingdom.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Ozzy far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ozzy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ozzy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. JSPCA — Jersey SPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ozzy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ozzy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — JSPCA — Jersey SPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ozzy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ozzy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with JSPCA — Jersey SPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ozzy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
