Ozzy is a sweet, people-oriented senior. Someone probably got rid of him because of his age, and yet 10 years is barely the start of retirement. Ozzy was found tied to a tree. Next to him - a bag of food. It's clear that this was the most important - so he would have a "full bowl", because Ozzy was so fat he could barely move. The animal shelter has badly affected him - Ozzy, indeed, lost weight, but it's visible that the daily chaos is wearing him down emotionally. Often we see him with a bowl in his mouth or chewing on a toy - just to keep his teeth busy and not get drawn into the others' nervousness. All of this passes when the day ends. When it's 4:00 PM, the caretakers go home, the dogs quiet down, and Ozzy, tired from the whole day's vigil, goes to sleep. It's a wonderful dog, gentle, sensitive, trusting. Someone must have really loved him once... What happened? We will never know, but surely Ozzy's world has collapsed.
