Pablo

Male · Adult · 5 years

Pablo is a 5-year-old black tomcat who is still getting used to his new reality. Staying at the shelter has been a big challenge for him, so he remains cautious and withdrawn for now. The new place, unfamiliar sounds and smells make him need time above all else to feel safe. He's a sensitive cat who carefully observes his surroundings and doesn't like haste. He will build relationships with humans at his own pace. We are looking for a caregiver who will respect his boundaries, not put pressure on him, and allow him to gradually gain confidence. We believe that in a quiet, predictable home, Pablo will have the chance to leave fear behind and open up to new experiences more boldly. Such cats often just need patience and a sense of security to show their true selves. We are looking for a loving forever home for Pablo. One where he receives peace, care, and the time needed to build trust. We are confident that with an understanding caregiver, he will find his place and feel more secure each day. Please fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire before visiting the shelter: Before adopting, make sure your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared for a new family member. Note: When deciding to adopt or considering adoption, be sure to bring a carrier or transport bag for cats with you to the shelter.

Wierzymy, że w spokojnym i kochającym domu szybko nabierze jeszcze większej pewności siebie i w pełni pokaże swój łagodny, proludzki charakter. Szukamy dla Pabla kochającego domu na zawsze. Takiego, w którym otrzyma troskę, poczucie bezpieczeństwa i odpowiednią opiekę.

About Pablo

What life with Pablo looks like

Pablo is a small adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pablo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pablo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pablo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pablo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pablo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pablo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pablo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
