Adopt Pablo

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Rehoming assistance – Description from the owner. Pablo Rottweiler, microchipped, vaccinated. Born: 18.03.2020 🛼 athletic male dog 🐶 gets along with female dogs 🔤 good basic obedience ⛔ suitable only for experienced people! Unfortunately, this beautiful 4-year-old Rottweiler male dog with an ADRK pedigree is looking for a new, suitable home. Pablo is generally a friendly dog, but due to his previous home, he is very insecure and has not learned to orient himself to his human, instead seeking refuge by running away. He certainly knows how to use his teeth and would do so if confronted by strangers. He needs people who know how to handle this, for whom using a muzzle is not a problem and who will use it accordingly. Pablo has very good basic obedience, runs well on a leash, and gets along well with female dogs. He is free of HD and ED. He does not know cats. He should not be around children, as we cannot support this, even if the children have experience with dogs; we advise against it, as he is definitely not a family dog. He has been trained in the ring and can potentially take the companion dog test with his new people. Various canine sports would definitely make him happy. He is confident in his environment, calm, and can also be left alone for a while without redecorating the apartment. Currently, he lives with the breeders and can be visited there. It is really important, if there is interest, that one is aware of his issues and is truly willing to consistently secure him with a muzzle during the initial period. Then, Pablo is a great companion who seeks people he can trust and who can provide him with the necessary security he needs. This does not mean harshness, but rather benevolent firmness and consistency. If interested, please fill out our form. Gets along with other dogs.

Vermittlungshilfe – Die Beschreibung vom Besitzer. Pablo Rottweiler, gechipt, geimpft.

About Pablo

What life with Pablo looks like

Pablo is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Listenhunde Nothilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pablo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pablo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Listenhunde Nothilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pablo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pablo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Listenhunde Nothilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pablo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pablo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Listenhunde Nothilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pablo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
