Paquita has spondylosis but fortunately doesn't experience any discomfort from it. Temperament: Active, loyal, cuddly House-trained: Yes Hello everyone, my name is Paquita. I’m a lovely German Shepherd-Belgian Shepherd mix, just seven years old. In the past, I didn’t receive very good care, which ultimately led me to end up in foster care. But you’d never know it now! In fact, they say I’ve even gotten a bit rounder lately. I’ve got energy to spare—like tenfold! I’m absolutely fantastic at retrieving; I could keep myself entertained with that for hours on end. But of course, what I’d really love is to go out and explore new things together with someone—like tracking or detection work, for example. When I get bored, though, I can sometimes fall into some unwanted behaviors. For instance, I might bark at cars, cyclists, or other dogs. As long as you keep me busy, I actually don’t mind a lively environment at all. Still, I’d prefer to live in a quieter spot. It would also be much nicer for a new owner if you didn’t have to keep an eye on me all the time. At my age, of course, I do have a few minor issues. For example, I have some spondylosis in my lower back. But the fact that they found it was purely coincidental—I’m still walking and running super smoothly and don’t feel any discomfort at all. I think I could easily enjoy many more years ahead! So I’m looking for a calm little spot with an active person who can provide me with plenty of mental stimulation. I’m not particularly fond of other animals, though. The expectation is that I can happily spend a few hours alone. Besides, I’m house-trained and won’t cause any trouble here. Do you have a new home waiting for me?
