Adopt Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde)

Presa Canario · Male

Young, dynamic, and good-looking! Pascha is the perfect example of an impulsive purchase. He did not bother to consider which dog breed would be suitable for the household. He has no training and has learned that he always gets what he wants. Unfortunately, this is an unpleasant way to raise a dog. Pascha’s new owners will face many hours of dog training. Additionally, many repetitions will be necessary, as the young man finds it difficult to adapt to new routines. Once he truly understands what is expected of him and that his counterpart is serious, he will be a wonderful, eager-to-learn young dog who behaves well. We work daily on his behavior, but the young pup is not yet finished. In direct contact with fellow animals, he also has his deficiencies. Interactions with female dogs work much better than with male dogs. Whether Pascha is actually doing them a favor is a different story, as he is very persistent. We wish for Pascha people who are up for a small challenge to transform the little raw diamond into a real treasure. A large apartment, ground floor, with a secured terrace or a house with a fenced yard would be ideal. Children in the household should already be in their teenage years, as Pascha plays very physically. Other household pets are not necessarily required. Due to his phenotypic appearance, we only place Pascha in states without a ban list.

About Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde)

What life with Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) looks like

Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) is a small adult presa canario dog waiting at Tierheim Neumünster in Wasbek.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Neumünster handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Neumünster will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Neumünster early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pascha (Tierheim Rote Erde) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
