Our Basti, a ca. 10-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback-Rottweiler male dog, is on the lookout for a quiet home for his golden years. He is an imposing, character-strong dog who has become more gentle with age. With his trusted people, Basti is cuddly and clingy, but meets strangers with suspicion. His strength and assertiveness must not be underestimated. He wears his muzzle safely and without problems, and this should also be a non-issue in his future home. In fact, it should be a requirement in unfamiliar and new situations. We are seeking experienced, knowledgeable owners who can provide him with clear leadership and a confident, loving home. Ideally, there should be a farm or large property where he can live out his watchdog instincts. When it comes to fellow animals, Basti decides for himself who he likes. He is generally compatible with female dogs. He would prefer to share his own four walls without children, cats, and/or small animals. Seine Kraft und Meinungsentschiedenheit darf man nicht unterschätzen. Maulkorb trägt er sicher und ohne Probleme, das sollte auch im zukünftigen Zuhause kein Fremdwort sein. Gerade in unübersichtlichen und neuen Situationen ist das bei ihm Pflicht. Wir suchen erfahrene, sachkundige Halter, die ihm klare Führung und ein souveränes, liebevolles Heim bieten können. Idealerweise sollte es ein Hof oder ein großes Grundstück geben, auf dem er sein Wachhund-Gen ausleben darf. Bei Artgenossen entscheidet Basti selbst, wer ihm gefällt. Mit Hündinnen ist er generell verträglich. Seine eigenen vier Wände möchte er am liebsten ohne Kinder, Katzen und/oder Kleintiere teilen.
