Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Help! I need somebody ... Chicolino's sad story began several years ago in Hersbruck. He was purchased as a puppy by a man suffering from alcoholism, who never provided him with any structure. More or less on his own, he was exposed to his owner's mood swings—sometimes overwhelming affection, sometimes none at all, few social contacts, no play with fellow animals, and often undefined commands. All of this shook his little puppy soul—lacking the necessary support and clear instructions. When his owner passed away, he was brought to Tierhilfe Franken e.V. by a friend. He was a very small and insecure little thing. His insecurity, which led to uncontrolled behavior and sometimes aggression, made the responsible people of the association decide to place him in a professional "dog boarding" facility for several months. By now, a family has been found where he lives, where he is trained, and where they can also deal with his epilepsy, which he also has. Tierhilfe Franken e.V. is looking for sponsors for Chicolino, as the association covers all these costs. Please support the cute Beagle with a small donation. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Help! I need somebody ...

About Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211

What life with Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 looks like

Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Franken e.V. in Lauf.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Franken e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Franken e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Franken e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Patenhund * Chicolino &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
