Patenhund * Sindylein

Mixed Breed · Female

Our brave little Yorkie girl unfortunately did not have the best life for an endless time. Her elderly owner was no longer physically able to take care of the little mouse and was overwhelmed by the situation. Most of the time, Sindy had to endure her lonely life alone, with walk rounds becoming a rarity. When the lady passed away, it got even worse. The dear little girl had to endure a dimly lit apartment all alone. Her highlight of the day was when a nice neighbor came to feed her. The dish she had to wear constantly left marks on her skin and fur, and in her distress, who could blame the little heap of misery for becoming unclean. Love and warmth had become distant. After a much too long time, the female dog’s heirs finally decided to hand her over to Tierhilfe Franken. Sindy then came into a caring foster family – her little eyes began to sparkle again, and her plump paws started to move joyfully once more. Unfortunately, all these “old burdens” left their mark on her. Her small body became very ill, her metabolism struck out, and so one thing led to another. We are doing everything with all our hearts to give the sweet angel girl a pain-free, wonderful time so she can finally enjoy the security she deserves. The complex treatment, medications, and the constant required doctor visits are, however, financially hard to manage. In addition, there is an older femur fracture that needs to be operated on urgently, but without the necessary stabilization of her body, it is not possible at the moment. Sindy means a lot to us, and we would like to ask you to help us at this point to give the little treasure a time on the sunny side of life at the end of her life.

About Patenhund * Sindylein

What life with Patenhund * Sindylein looks like

Patenhund * Sindylein is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Franken e.V. in Lauf.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Patenhund * Sindylein, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Patenhund * Sindylein?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Franken e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Patenhund * Sindylein on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Patenhund * Sindylein if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Franken e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Patenhund * Sindylein already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Patenhund * Sindylein isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Franken e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Patenhund * Sindylein and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
