adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Patricia has found her forever home! Her story: Patricia is a little fighter. Not long ago, she was found on the street by animal rescuers. Initially, they only wanted to neuter the orange-brown spotted kitten, but it quickly became clear that it wasn't going well for her. FIP was diagnosed, and her survival battle began. Look at that: Patricia made it! Patricia has already gone through the FIP treatment and the wait, and is in the best of health. She now lives in our cat room and feels very comfortable here. But a real home would be even better! The young cat is still searching for a family, and we're helping in the search 🙂 Patricia is an extremely lovable cat who clearly knows that she was saved from the worst. She actively seeks out contact with people to be stroked and has a lot of trust in any two-legged friend. Patricia is definitely a cat that you simply have to love. She exudes happiness and joy, which she spreads to everyone. Patricia is a typical young cat: she likes to play for hours, whether with other cats or alone. She is social towards other cats and closely follows their behavior. The contact with them is very important to her, which is why we are looking for a home for her where she is not the only cat. She likes to take one of her friends with her to her new home if there is no other cat waiting for her. Due to her history, her caretakers see her as a house cat. Could our wonderful Patricia have won your heart? Write to us – she is eagerly looking forward to meeting her heart people! Before Patricia moves into her new home, she, like all our cats and tomcats, of course, was neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She was also tested negative for FIV and FeLV and packed her EU pet passport. Many thanks Ker W.! You have given Patricia her name! A big thank you also goes to Nora H., who has taken on a monthly sponsorship for Patricia. Stan: 26.03. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Stan: 26.03.2025

About Patricia

What life with Patricia looks like

Patricia is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Patricia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Patricia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Patricia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Patricia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Patricia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Patricia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Patricia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
