Paul would thrive in a patient and understanding home that can help him continue building confidence and adjusting to life in a home environment. He can be a little unsure in unfamiliar situations and benefits from calm reassurance from people he trusts, so his ideal owners will be happy to let him settle at his own pace while gently introducing him to new experiences. He would thrive in a quieter residential area with a peaceful homelife. Paul could live with secondary-aged children, who can respect his sensitive nature and give him space when needed. As we have no history of him living in a home, he will need support with toilet training and learning everyday household routines. Paul is looking to be the only dog in the home and wouldn't like to live with cats, but has the potential to live with birds and small furries if kept separate. Any leaving time should be introduced gradually once he has settled, with the potential to build up to 6 hours, with suitable breaks, and as long as it's not a daily occurrence.
