Paula

Samoyed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

17-06-26 Paula is a sweet lady who has come to us from a breeder as part of an unsold litter. She is a very energetic girl who will need an active household that can keep up with her. As she is just a puppy, she has never lived in a home before and will need to learn all about house training, lead walking, and the basics of home life once she has finished her vaccinations. She can be a little flighty around us humans and seems to have had very little experience with people so far, so she will need at least one resident dog in the home that he can look to for reassurance as she learns about trusting people and navigating the world as an adult dog. She can live with dog-savvy older children who are sensible and understand that he is still learning. Her adopters will need to be committed to taking her to socialisation and training classes to help her become a well-rounded adult dog and build her confidence. With time, patience, and guidance, we are sure she will come on leaps and bounds. Paula is a lovely lady with lots of energy and potential, and she is sure to light up any loving home. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Paula

What life with Paula looks like

Paula is a puppy/kitten samoyed dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Paula, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Paula?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Paula on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Paula if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Paula already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Paula isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Paula and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
