Peachy

Lovebird · Unknown

Meet Peachy, who may genuinely be the prettiest bird we have ever seen, they are an orange lovebird who came into our care as a stray so we are unsure of their gender. Lovebirds must live with another lovebird so Peachy is looking to be bonded with either a male or female love bird. Lovebirds can be territorial so living with a different type of bird wont be possible. Potential adopters will need a separate cage for the bonding process and must have researched the steps of bonding lovebirds. Like most lovebirds the vibrant Peachy can be very vocal. Their favourite thing to do is watching videos of other lovebirds. When watching the videos Peachy becomes very chatty and tries to kiss the screen! Aww! Peachy is not hand tamed but is relatively comfortable around people and will come up to the sides of the bars. Can you help this absolutely beautiful bird find their new companion? About Peachy

What life with Peachy looks like

Peachy is a adult lovebird bird waiting at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre in Bristol.

Birds are long-lived, social, and noisy. The species and individual history matter enormously — ex-companion parrots can carry strong attachments and trauma. Ask the shelter about their daily routine, diet, and whether they'd do best alone or with a flockmate.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peachy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peachy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Bristol Animal Rescue Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peachy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peachy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Bristol Animal Rescue Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peachy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most birds on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peachy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Bristol Animal Rescue Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peachy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
