Peanut – available

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Meet Peanut, a small but mighty bundle of energy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! Still very much in her puppy phase, Peanut is looking for an active, patient and committed owner/s who can give her the time, guidance, and training she needs. Peanut will benefit from continuing her puppy training, including toilet training, basic commands, and lead work. She’s a big foodie, so she’s more than happy to learn when there are tasty treats involved! A crazy Puppy with a lot of love, Peanut will shower you with licks and nibbles to your ears! She’s happy meeting new people but can be a little apprehensive to start. Peanut can live with other dogs, she just needs to ‘sus’ them out before being fully comfortable, once there she’s go go go and ready to play- all day if she could! She can live with children over five, and might be able to live with a dog-confident cat, making her a lovely addition to the right family. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate and energetic puppy who will keep you on your toes and fill your home with love, Peanut could be the perfect match for you.

About Peanut – available

What life with Peanut – available looks like

Peanut – available is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Wadars Animal Rescue in Worthing.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peanut – available, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peanut – available?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wadars Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peanut – available on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peanut – available if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wadars Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peanut – available already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peanut – available isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wadars Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peanut – available and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
