Pearl

Mixed Breed Β· Female Β· Senior Β· 11 years

Pretty Pearl is such a lovely dog who has spent most of her life having puppies sadly. She now deserves something she perhaps has never had before, a loving, warm, forever home. Wellingborough Dog Welfare (Wellidog) in Northamptonshire is caring for her meantime and helping her make her dream come true. Pearl is an 11 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is such a sweetheart despite having been always used for breeding. Sadly, she has always lived outside, so she will need house training. It would be perfect to find her the warm, comfy home she has never known before the winter sets in. Pearl is a sweet lady who likes to do her own thing. She is always happy and her tail is always wagging away. She enjoys her walks and a game of ball. Her favourite thing is a soft squeaky toy. Pearl is okay with other dogs but can be a little bit possessive over her toys. She is happy to say hello to other dogs on her walks, though she may be best as an only dog and she could live with children aged 8+ years old, but no cats please true to terrier form. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ If you can make dear Pearl's forever home dream come true, please contact Wellidog as follows: Email: with a bit about yourself, children, pets, working hours, etc. Please mention that you saw Pearl on the Oldies Club website.

About Pearl

What life with Pearl looks like

Pearl is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pearl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pearl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pearl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pearl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pearl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pearl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pearl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
