Peludín

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten

Description PELUDÍN, EL REY Peludín arrived at the animal shelter on his own, we don't know how he got there by himself or if someone abandoned him. At first, he was a bit timid, showing himself but keeping his distance from everyone. However, in no time he had taken over Asoka: he moved around as if he had been born there and the entire animal shelter was his kingdom. He overthrew our Madonna in her reign, pushing her out of the animal shelter, so we went to fetch her and put her in one of the enclosures to continue taking care of her if she adapted (although that's another story). Peludín showed himself as a friendly king to all the volunteers, always ready to receive caresses and flattery... the rich paté dishes were our tribute to pay. We sterilized, tested, and vaccinated him, and he tested positive for Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) but showed no signs of the disease. He began moving around the entire animal shelter with no worries, even in the area where the kittens are taken out, which made us fear he might have an accident with one of them. So, we decided to try putting him in the enclosure of cats that, like him, are positive for Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV), and the result has been good... he adapted very well, and although he's no longer the king here, he still remains a prince like the rest. Peludín is delighted to be there and Madonna has returned to reign with all her splendor in the animal shelter, but as we said before, that's another long story.

About Peludín

What life with Peludín looks like

Peludín is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Keywords in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Peludín, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Peludín?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Keywords handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Peludín on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Peludín if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Keywords will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Peludín already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Peludín isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Keywords early rather than rehoming privately; they know Peludín and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
