Penelope werd door brandweerlieden en politie gered van een balkon waar ze bijna twee weken vast had gezeten. Het asiel werd gealarmeerd en samen met de buren meldden ze haar elke dag bij de politie. Uiteindelijk werd ze gered en is ze opgenomen in het asiel. Ze was erg bang toen ze werd gered. Daarom lijkt ze in eerste instantie een sterker karakter te hebben, maar naarmate ze mensen en andere dieren leert kennen, wordt haar temperament milder. Ze is erg aanhankelijk en lief voor mensen. Ze woont in haar pleeggezin met twee kinderen en drie katten. Ze is niet erg speels; ze is eerder rustig. Ze eet graag.
